I was sent a small sample of their Sore Muscle Balm to test out - and as you know I am pregnant so everything hurts.
The Sore Muscle Balm is "Loaded with therapeutic essential oils and herbal extracts to get you back into the race. The Chinese doctors of ancient dynasties treated injuries with the blood invigorating qualities of frankincense and myrrh, along with the aromatic healing power of camphor. We have combined the warmth of ginger with the anti-inflammatory effects of castor seed oil, arnica, St. John’s wart and eucalyptus to create a truly dynamic product that utilizes the philosophy of eastern medicine to heal your pain quickly. "
My review:
This product oozes luxury. I have used many sore muscle creams, rubs and treatments over the years and I have to say that the scent of the She Essential Beauty Sore Muscle Balm is fairly strong, but not overpowering and certainly more appealing than other products on the market. It is much softer and more delicate than tiger balm, and much less greasy and messy than A5-35 and similar creams on the market.
While the scent lingers after using She Sore Muscle Balm, I didn't feel like I was walking around smelling like muscle balm. The scent was herbal, spicy and pleasant, as opposed to minty and oppressive. It was also gender neutral - not too floral for my husband to use!
The consistency was great too - it went on clean and my skin didn't feel oily or greasy after massaging it into my sore muscles... It worked well on my shoulders and neck, but also on my calves and ankles that were swollen from the pregnancy...
