Thirsty for Comments Thursday blog hop! 

What is it?

I've spent several posts ranting about blog hoppers who 'hit and run' to collect followers and numbers - That's not why I join blog hop memes, and I know from comments left on those rants, that others feel the same way... so I've decided to do something proactive and create Thirsty for Comments Thursdays!  This is a laid back meme designed to get meaningful and heartfelt feedback from people who will actually take the time to read your post!

Please stop by and check out Joann's Best and her featured post this week, 
as well as visiting as many of the other link ups as you want!


The rules are simple - 

1. Link up a post that you'd like to have more comments on - can be anything (except giveaways)
Add the Thirsty for Comments Thursday button to the post if you like - you can grab it from my sidebar --)
2. Visit at least two other blogs and READ the posts and comment thoughtfully on the post.
3. Follow the blog if you like, but it's not required... this hop is all about giving good comment!
4. I would love it if you follow Acting Balanced so that you get reminders to link up posts every week... but you don't have to do that either.
5. Create a new post to help spread the word about Thirsty for Comments Thursdays to your followers who like to leave good comment, again - not required, but sharing is wonderful :)
6. Leave feedback about what you think of this Meme idea.  Any and all constructive feedback is welcome!

The Bonus:
Anyone who creates a new post and leaves me a comment about it will be entered to become a co-host of this meme next week.

What a great meme! I forgot to write down my post title when I shared the links to my post. Anyway, it's entitled "Conversations with my son...". Hope you guys enjoyed the post (and the conversations) as much as I do! :)

This is the greatest idea! I'm new to the bloghop game and I hate those comments that have NOTHING to do with your post- just there so you can "follow back"! What's the point?

I totally agree with you Heather. I could care less about the follower numbers. If someone is following me just so that I will follow them back, then they are not going to read my blog...so what is the point? I would much rather have lower numbers and High % of readers.

This blog hop is so time appropriate because the post I linked is on my store's blog, about my personal blog. It introduces the Me behind the store. I thought it would be a great way to get to know more people and let them get to know me. I cherish my blogger relationships, so this hop is perfect! Thanks for hosting it!

I found you over at Mama to 4 Blessings Blog Hop Library. I am so glad you linked up over there. I think this is a great idea. I feel the same way you do. I started to publish a post about it and realized I was technically a day early, forgot this was a linky for Thursday. So I am going to post it later tonight before going to bed. One problem. I couldn't get the button to work right. When I posted it all I had was text. I think I will try fixing it in Internet Explorer seeing as my Google Chrome has been acting up quite a lot lately. Looking forward to commenting and receiving comments. Once again-Great idea!
