Product Review: Auntie Anne's Pretzel Kit

We received Auntie Anne's At-Home Baking Kit to review and as much as I tried to persuade Robyn to make one of the other recipes on the box, like Deep Dish Pizza or Pull apart bread, but my pretzel crazy kid just had to try her hand at making the famous Anutie Anne's pretzels at home:

This was a great project for being home over the holidays - the instructions were easy to follow and everything she needed was in the kit - except water, a bit of flour for rolling out, and cooking spray.
The whole endeavour took about 45 minutes plus baking time and with the exception of cutting the dough, Robyn did it all.. she was worried about getting the dough cut right and found that it was both sticky and a little tough to cut, so I stepped in to help her with that...

The easy-to-prepare kit comes with step-by-step instructions to make 10 Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels, 15 Pretzel Dogs, or one deep dish pizza for out-of-town guests or kids seeking a twist to their typical weekday lunches. Key ingredients in the kit are a yeast packet, special at-home baking AuntieAnne’s dough mix, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon sugar. Since the dough mix is versatile, a recipe for making a deep dish pizza is included on the kit packaging and other recipes for dishes such as stuffing, cinnamon pull apart bread (monkey bread), and bread pudding can be found by visiting www.auntieannesrecipes.com
These were fabulous - but when I go up to our local Auntie Anne's at Northwoods Mall to buy some more, I plan to make these Apple Dumplings:
If you're looking for a great way to spend a yummy afternoon with the kids, or a cool twist on a variety of yummy treats, I highly recommend checking out the Auntie Anne's At Home Baking Kit, available from participating Auntie Anne's locations and other fine retailers.  This would also be a great last minute stocking stuffer for anyone who loves to try new ways to bake!
