I haven't been blogging very much this week.. it feels strange, but I've kinda hit a wall where I'm getting more and more Zombie-like... and what's worse is that I woke up with a head cold this morning... can't win...
Erik had his first taste of pablum last night... he hated it... so we'll probably wait a few more weeks to try again... he's just such a big boy - I was really hoping some rice cereal would help fill his belly and let him sleep longer and better... his pedi had recommended that we consider starting it early because of his size, but I'm still leary... guess I'll live with the sleepless nights...
Robyn goes to write her SATs for the first time tomorrow... She's doing it as part of the Duke TIP program... just to get an idea of what they're like, but it will be interesting to see how my 7th grader handles them...
Liam starts school full time on Monday! We had a 'team meeting' to review his IEP last week and it was decided that he was both ready for and could benefit from more school... so my big boy will be at school from 8-3 every day... that's going to be a big change for our family!
My biggest worry about that is the number of meals he will have at school.. and how that will work with the gluten free diet... he loves making food choices, so I'll be stocking the fridge and freezer at school with food for him so that the teacher can help him make his lunch... it should be interesting...
The nice thing is that it means Erik and I will get to go out an do more 'Mommy and me' things, we were limited before because most of them started around 10am and getting Liam at 11 meant that it wasn't worth going...
I'm not getting much of a break this weekend, it's going to be long - Wayne's going away to a conference overnight Saturday to Sunday in Greenville... so he'll get a good night's sleep... but I'll have the kids to myself and no car :-( so I'll be a little grumpy this weekend... I just hope that both boys will sleep on somewhat of the same schedule...
I need a MOMS night out soon... anyone up for one?
