Review and #giveaway - Tasty & Healthy Granola Gourmet Energy Bars

Created by a Diabetic and his Family, tasty and healthy Granola Gourmet Energy Bars are a new product that I am glad to be reviewing on Acting Balanced. 

Frustrated by a lack of snacks that did not cause a blood sugar spike, but that also tasted good Granola Gourmet was born. Granola Gourmet uses ingredients that are low or very low on the Glycemic Index*, because of this Granola Gourmet Energy Bars convert to sugar more slowly.  

100% Natural * No Wheat * No Dairy * Kosher * Vegan      

Very Low Sodium (15-35mg) * No Refined Sugar  

10-13g Whole Grains * 391-590mg Omega-3's

I recieved four Ultimate Energy Bars to try.  I tried two of the flavors myself and left the two chocolate ones for others in my family because of my chocolate allergy.  

I was personally glad to try the Ultimate Berry and Ultimate Cran-Orange flavors because they weren't chocolate or peanut butter, and that is one of the toughest things to find in an energy bar.  The bars are chewy and full of flavor.  The Ultimate Berry was my favorite by far - sweet and yummy with big, recognizable bits of fruit in it.  The Cran-Orange flavor was a little tart for my taste, but was still good and filling.

Robyn tried the Ultimate Fudge Brownie and Ultimate Mocha Fudge and deemed them more than acceptable - yummy even!

I tried to get Liam to try them because they are gluten free, but he didn't like the sticky texture of them, and with his sensory issues, that's a big no-no.  Besides, after tasting them myself, I have to say that these are probably more grown up tasting bars than would appeal to a four year old.

I would recommend Granola Gourmet Energy Bars to anyone looking for a healthier snacking alternative to some of the products out there.
