Now that he's older and wiser, the Baby Einstein: Neptune's Oceans Discovery Kit (DVD, + CD and Discovery Cards)
is holding his attention, and better yet, holding his four year old brother's attention too! I love that, unlike many of the DVD's out there, the Neptune's Ocean DVD uses real images rather than cartoons, and has selected bright, spectacular scenes that even mommy can appreciate and has also included a fabulous cd and flashcards. Erik isn't into the flashcards yet, but they have been a big hit with Liam and we've been using them to supplement his language flash cards and build his vocabulary of things like coral reefs, dolphins and his new favorite thing - PENGUINS! Even if he's playing in his room on a different floor, the minute anyone mentions penguins or they come on the DVD, he's there!
I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed by this package, and the way that it fits together. Even Robyn can be drawn into watching the DVD, the scenes are so beautiful. The CD is also great - especially for the car - it reinforces what happens on the DVD and is a great addition to the package.

In November, 2010, the Baby Einstein Company launched The Baby Einstein Rewards Program, a customer loyalty program created just for families and powered by Disney Movie Rewards. As part of this program, The Baby Einstein Company includes “Magic Codes” inside the packaging of every Discovery Kit for Baby Einstein Reward members to enter as part of their account and be able to earn and accrue reward points. Reward points can then later be redeemed for a variety of great products including strollers, baby bouncers, books, CDs, DVDs and more. The Baby Einstein Rewards Program is only valid for members who live in the U.S. and Canada and excludes Quebec.
