Friday Fragments

Erik had his six month doctors appointment today... his stats are head circumference 17.8, height 29 1/4 inches and weight 21.8lbs.  He met all of his milestones, and a few from the 9 month check up... darn child is growing up way too fast for my tastes...

Liam is having issues with dehydration at school... he won't drink from a water fountain and he's less inclined to drink juice or milk when it's presented to him... they banned sippy cups but I'm sending one in is book bag tomorrow to see if that will help...

I'm so excited - my parents arrive for a two week visit starting on Saturday!!!  Of course this means chaos in the house, but you gotta love chaos!

Robyn has PASS testing all next week (SC State Standardized tests) ... it's always the worst week of the year to get her motivated because of the way that they lock down the school... at least she'll get a ton of recreational reading done....

Wayne is done with Spring Semester - his final exams are marked and grades are entered.. he now has a few days to breathe before his Maymester course starts... at least that one is fun - he teaches the Business of Wedding Planning during Maymester!

Happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating and a special hug to all of my readers who are celebrating their angel moms... Mother's Day has always been a little bittersweet and tough in our house for Robyn ... and I know that others who honor their angel moms on mother's day need our love too.

Why did the school ban sippy cups? That seems rigid, esp for kids who maybe can't handle any other cups....

Have a very happy Mother's Day!

They didn't ban sippy cups for everyone... Liam moved on and was drinking from a regular cup or with a straw, but not getting the same amount of fluid if you know what I mean... the doctor just suggested using his least restrictive way to get drinks and for Liam that's a sippy cup... I'm sure they'll let him have one if I tell them he needs it.
Happy Mother's Day to you too! So exciting that you get to spend it with your parents. Hopefully they're accommodating with your son drinking out of the sippy cup. Dehydration sucks!

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!
I never liked the water from those drinking fountains at school either and now I don't drink from the ones at work. I will give in and drink from ones at the zoo though--I really get thirsty there on hot days and prices are so high for refreshments. Sippy cups seems like an odd thing for the school to ban.

Stopping by from Friday Fragments.
