Friday Fragments

Hopefully as you read this post you won't catch any cyber germs... yep our whole family has a head cold... and we're so pleasant when we're sick... so just stay away...

I feel horrible - and not just because I have a cold - it was Liam's birthday yesterday and although I took a cookie cake into his class and we did what he wanted this evening (a trip to the Mall to see the Model Railway society toy train exhibit and supper at Chick-Fil-A) I feel bad because I didn't bother to plan him a birthday party...  I would probably have canceled it because we all feel bad and don't want to share our germs, but I still feel guilty for not planning it...

I know that he doesn't care... he doesn't care about birthdays, presents or any other celebrations - and he was happier today than I've seen him lately, just watching the trains go round and round... mom guilt, gotta love it...

Robyn has taken up running again - she's planning to run the equivalent of a marathon between now and January as part of a kids event... she started out by running/walking a mile and a half... not bad (and way better than I could do)

Erik is working on three new teeth... if I could bottle all of the drool I could water our garden for a week!  It doesn't help that his nose is all stuffed up too... poor baby - teething and his first head cold in the same week...

Wayne submitted his tenure review package yesterday (Thursday), so please keep us in your thoughts over the next few weeks as it gets passed around and reviewed... it's a fairly strong argument, but I always worry when his job is on the line!

Well, I'm off to sleep and try to get rid of this cold... hope you are all well and I'll send you off to check out all of the other fragmented lives who have linked up with Mrs. 4444 at:

you know, we didn't do birthday parties last year at all for any kids. i felt horrible too. but sometimes it happens, i think we guilt ourselves more than the kids do. your little guys sounds like a trooper! chicfila makes all things better :-)
Feel better and if I catch your cyber germs, I'm comin' to get ya.
