About Lil' Hot Heads

It's sometimes tough to keep an ice pack or a cold cloth on a moving target, even when you know that they need it!  Lil Hot Heads is a versatile way to keep one on your child in a variety of situations.  Designed primarily to be used when  your little ones have fevers, I've had the opportunity to test it out in well circumstances the past week...

From the Lil' Hot Heads Website:
Each Lil' Hot Heads headband comes with 2 reusable ice packs.  Allowing the user to have continuous use of the Lil' Hot Heads headband.  The headbands are constructed of 100% flannel cotton with a water resistant nylon liner.  Velcro strips are used so each headband will adjust to any size head.  The ice packs are filled with purified water.  Each headband is 29 inches long by 2 inches wide.
How long will each cold pack last?
Each cold pack will last over one hour at a time.
How to use?
Just place the 2 cold packs into the freezer.  Once frozen slip one of the cold packs into the Lil' Hot Heads headband.  Simply apply to the forehead and use the Velcro strips to keep headband in place
Other uses?Use anytime you need to cool your body temperature.  After your child's sporting event, playing outside on a hot day.  Even adults can wear Lil' Hot Heads

My Review:
This is a great idea!  My daughter, who is 13 and loves to play outside with her friends is really liking this as a fast way to cool down without getting into the shower... knock on wood, no one has had a fever this week, but my husband did twist his ankle and having the Lil' Hot Heads around meant that he could keep ice on it while still chasing the children (counterproductive I know, but when you're a parent, you're always on the go...)

I really like that this product came with two ice packs that you could swap out, and it was easily washed and dried with my laundry so that it's ready for it's next use!  The ice packs were fairly easy to insert and remove, although it is a fairly snug fit.

I liked that the cover was made from flannel - so soft and soothing, the perfect thing for against your skin!  I know that the next time the kids are sick I'll have lil' hot heads ready!
