Review: Eucerin Plus Essentials

Transitions between seasons seem to be hard on my skin and I often find myself in situations where I get very dry skin which ends up getting very itchy.  I made it worse this weekend by getting too much sun on my back because I didn't get any sunscreen on it and now if I go to long without putting something on it after my shower, the itch is almost all consuming! 

For the past few weeks I have been reviewing Eucerin Plus Smoothing Essentials Fast Absorbing Body Lotion and Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème.  I have found it to be the perfect blend of light but active coverage - not greasy or lumpy like some others I have tried, but when I got sun burned I originally went back to the aloe based product I usually used.  I got no relief, so I decided to see if the Eucerin Plus Smoothing Essentials Fast Absorbing Body Lotion could help in any way.  The relief was immediate!  The itch was gone and even though it's been several days since I got sun burned, I haven't started to peel at all!

The other product I have been trying is the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Crème, which I have been carrying around in my purse to use after washing up while I'm out!

I learned afterwards that the alpha-hydroxy in both products can lead to sunburns, but since I hadn't used either one on my back, just my arms and legs (which didn't get burned) it really was my own fault!
