Well, it's official, with everything else going on in our lives and all of the added expenses we've had this fall, we're not heading home to Canada for Christmas this year. It was already a tight squeeze, trying to squeeze four days of traveling by car, time to see everyone and still make it back during the holiday time that both Wayne and the kids had, but now we know it just isn't going to work this year.
So now I've turned my attention to finding great Coupon Codes send gifts to everyone in Canada! It's hard to shop in the US for Canadian gifts because of the border issues and potential to have to pay duty on gifts, so I prefer to shop online and look for great deals and free shipping!
At the same time, I'm always on the hunt for great deals here in the US and always try to find the best coupons and deals here too! Really, who wants to go to a crowded store or mall when you can just click around the internet in your pj's with a mug of hot tea and my favorite tunes playing on Pandora, rather than that canned holiday musak that must drive the retailers nuts!
I also have a few friends in Australia who I like to surprise with a gift or two every year - and let me tell you, I definitely don't want to try to pay shipping costs for large items to go there... so again, I let my fingers do the walking, find some great Discounts and wait for them to call and text me that they love what I've found for them!
Even though I won't be 'home' for Christmas this year, I know that I'll be able to find great gifts for my family and friends, all from sunny South Carolina! I'm hoping that my brother will Skype us as everyone opens up their presents so I can watch my nieces, siblings and parents faces light up when they see what great gifts I've found for them this year... and I'm already planning for next year - I really think 2012 will be the year we get home for Christmas...
