He Said/She Said - a meme to share...

Each Saturday both Wayne and I post the following week's question and our own answers (with mine being the correct one of course) on both of our blogs - we'll also open up a linky so that you can add your own posts! If you and your spouse both blog you can put up your answers on each blog, or if you are the only prolific writer in your family you can ask your SO their opinion and write their answer down for them (word for word of course).  You are also welcome to hook up a He Said/He Said or a She Said/She Said - whatever works for you!

The questions to discuss this week are:

What is your ideal date night?  What do you think your spouse will say?

Here's my answer to this week's question:

My ideal date... wow... with three kids, including one with special needs and one who is taking the terms "Bam Bam and Dennis the Menace" to whole new levels, any time alone with my hubby is ideal at this point... but honestly, I think that the date that Wayne and I had a few months ago where my parents kept our kids overnight and we headed for a one night 'staycation' to one of the local resorts was my ideal date night.. we had a hotel room, a chance to go out for dinner without thinking about whether there was a play place or happy meal toys, and a chance to get a good night's sleep... and if you've read my blog for the past  few months or so, you know that we've been dealing with significant sleep issues.  So my ideal date involves spending lots of quality time with my wonderfully sweet hubby, preferably in an environment where we can both relax and feel pampered...

But I'll take snuggling on the couch after the kids have fallen asleep as a great close second... the only problem is that the kids have been outlasting us...

Next week's questions:How do you divide up your household chores? What is the one chore you always do and what is one your spouse always does?

If you want to answer the question for yourself or have both you and your spouse participate, just write your post and link up below... or share a comment about the topic ...

That does sound like a great date. My 4 year old stayed with her grandparents and my husband and I simply went to an actual restaurant and a movie (not a kids movie!) and it was a great date night. We all need those every once and awhile.

A night alone together. Ahh. Maybe you could plan on one every 6 months. Something to look forward to.
Sounds like a fabulous date! Exactly the kind I would want
