Sundays in My City

Last Sunday we took the kids to Riverfront Park in North Charleston for a walk and a chance to play in the playground.  One of the things I love most about this park is that it combines so many different purposes and activities.... one of them is a wonderful monument to sailors!  My favorite part of the monument was this wonderfully realistic looking bronze statue:

That is so beautiful! I'm a military wife and it struck me so poignantly! I remember my first hug when my husband returned -- how terrifically that statue captures that feeling!

Thanks for sharing. Happy Sunday!
