One of the things that I'm trying to do while Erik naps is to continue to build his reading and math skills and one of the ways we're doing that is by using the Summer Fit Learning Activity Book.
These workbooks are different from other summer learning programs, within the pages of SUMMER FIT, you'll find a discussion on core values, academic worksheets, physical activity, certificates of achievement, and other stellar additions.
Now Liam isn't ready to tackle all of the activities as they are written, but they do give me some great ideas for material that I need to cover, even if I have to modify and create my own program to some extent, because of Liam's special needs.
I love that there is a physical component to the books and also that they include social skills and other activities that promote good citizenship! It really is a well rounded summer curriculum!
This book is set up for children and their parents to tackle specific activities daily and weekly - and that there are accountability measures right in the book! It is also great that the fitness portion gives you a wide range of ideas to keep everyone moving! I received the Summer Fit P-K workbook, which is perfect since Liam is moving to Kindergarten from 4K and there are summer fit workbooks for every grade from Kindegarten to 5th grade.
If you are looking for some good comprehensive ideas for keeping your kids minds and bodies busy this summer you should check out the summer fit workbooks! You can also find them on Facebook!
One lucky US Acting Balanced winner will get their choice of Summer Fit workbook! Just follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget below:
