He Said/She Said

One of the topics that came up this week in one of my Facebook groups was about trust in a relationship... specifically having friends of the opposite sex... and when Wayne and I talked about the topic we also talked about how some people see visiting strip joints or looking at racy movies as cheating... and for me it all boils down to trust...

I know and trust that my husband is who he is, so if he wants to hang out with female friends, go to a strip joint (which he rarely does...) or borrow my kindle to read a spicy romance, I'm not going to spend my time worrying that he's straying... he's having lunch with a colleague or sitting in a strip joint nursing a $10 beer (which he'd be grumbling about) because our friend Stu wants him to...

I guess I find it strange that people would even bring up the topic... but I guess there is a need to discuss it because some people do things in relationships that erode trust... I hope that never happens to anyone I know...

I find it sad that some couples don't trust one another. That said, I was much more jealous around my ex (who claimed to never look at another woman) than I am with my husband (who definitely looks!)

Trust in a relationship is paramount. Without trust a relationship is sure to fail. I have never had an issue with friends of the same sex.
I definitely trust my husband but I probably wouldn't feel comfortable with him visiting a strip join regardless. For us, it's more of a morals/religion thing. Friends of the opposite sex wouldn't bother me and I doubt they would bother him either.

Trust is very important. I would trust him completely to go to s strip joint, (I would be more annoyed about him wasting the money than anything else) but he could hang out with a girl who is a friend, he has even talked to old girl friends before.
