My apologies for being late this week... I had a Canada Day BBQ at my parents house today and Erik is still wound up!

My Answers:

1. What is your favorite thing to BBQ?

I'm partial to cooking flank steak or london broil... but I'm getting pretty good at a few other things on the barbie...

2. What is your favorite thing to do on a holiday long weekend in the summer?

Spending time with family and friends! This Canada Day long weekend I was able to see some family and friends I hadn't had a chance to connect with in a really long while!

3. Who was the last person you ate out with? Where did you go? What was the occasion?

Hubby and I had a date night last week and we ate at one of our old haunts - The Golden Gate restaurant - also known to us locals as the GOOF

4. Do you recycle?

We do... but the city we live in really limits what we can recycle... I wish they'd open up for more!

The last home decor project I did was when I was still in Michigan. In 1987, I stripped the wallpaper of two walls in two rooms. The exterior walls were paneled, better insulation. In the living room I pined the other 2 and in the bedroom I replaced the old wallpaper with a simple textured blue paper.

A project like that was much easier to do at 21! :)

Paint! I despise wallpaper on so many levels after having taken it down so many times from other people putting it up.

Paint! I've seen some pretty wallpaper and even did one room in wallpaper once but I much prefer paint - it's so much easier to change when you tire of it.

Paint! Wallpaper is fine--as long as it's new and pretty, but after a few years, LOOK OUT!

I don't know if I'd eat at a restaurant that locals call the GOOF, lol!! Sounds kinda risky.

I like classic wallpaper, the stuff that looks old. I have an old house, so it fits perfectly. I use if very sparingly, though. I think they overdid wallpaper in the olden days. Most of my rooms are painted but I do like wallpaper... and I like it even better when someone else installs it for me! It's hard work.

We wallpapered our ceiling in the dining room. It has the look of tin tiles. Pretty neat.

Wallpaper is actually growing on me. I think it looks nice in bathrooms and when half the wall (lower or upper) is done in wallpaper and the other is done with paint. I prefer paint because I think it's easier to apply, but I do think wallpaper looks nice when it's done well.

Paint, for sure! South Florida is very humid. Wallpaper doesn't do well in this climate.
