So many kids in our area and across the US don't have those advantages... The Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) estimates that 15.1 million children across America are left unsupervised after school and youth crime escalates between 3 -7 PM. BGCA offers solutions to help bridge the gap and support our youth when they need it! Their program offers homework help and also helps kids learn life skills and stay healthy!

Right now, BGCA is participating in two great back to school campaigns:
BGCA and Disney have partnered to launch the Tools for Back to School initiative. This initiative features a pop-quiz style game, where supplies are donated to BGCA for every correct answer you score.
BGCA has also partnered with jcpenney – and in August you can join jcp cares and round up your purchase at the register to benefit BGCA.
- I'm getting addicted to this trivia game... it's actually pretty simple and I've learned a ton about BGCA and I feel good that I'm helping to give back!
Rounding up is one of the easiest ways to give and my change and yours add up! Being able to be a small part of supporting the more than 4000 clubs that support 4 million children is a great feeling!
Check out this great video that gives you some insight into what BGCA does:
These are just two ways to get involved with BGCA but there are tons more! You can also get some great checklists and back to school info on their website - it's a wealth of information! You can find everything from Time Management Tips to Preparing for College and more!
Have you or someone you know benefited from BGCA? Have you volunteered there? I'd love to hear more about your experience with BGCA or what you've found helpful on their site!
