At the end of the day, on the best of days, my hubby and I can get a few minutes to relax and chat about our day... unfortunately, that doesn't happen as often as we like... take last night for instance... Wayne worked until 8:30 PM and was home by 9 ... we were both exhausted already from the long day, but there was also the wild card factor - Erik had resisted his nap until he couldn't resist any longer - he fell asleep at 6:15 PM - and got up in time for Daddy to be home... so while we did have a chance to catch up, it was over transformers and giggles from the little guy... By the time I got Erik settled, I was on my second wind too... it meant that I got a thoughtful blog post written about being Aware, but very little sleep...
At the end of the day, on the crazy days, I love to steal a few minutes to myself and take a hot bath... these are the days when talking just isn't an option... I haven't been alone with my own thoughts and the kids have driven me crazy... but sometimes all I can do is fall into bed and hope that nothing wakes me up before I can at least say I hit REM for a few minutes...
Honestly, at the end of the day, I usually just want to sleep...
