It's going to be a strange day for the kids... as I'm writing my post, my in-laws are in the air somewhere over the great lakes as they wing back east on the second leg of their flight home... the first took them from Charleston to Chicago and now they are in the skies heading to Buffalo...
Erik pitched a fit in the car when we took them to the airport ... and spent all evening at home looking for 'Papi' and 'Nana', and although the other two kids were sad to see their grandparents go, they were much more stoic about it...
We did stop off at Citadel Mall for an hour of 'Trains' choo choo... to take Erik's mind off things and to reward Liam for a great week - it worked, but mommy was tired and Robyn had homework, so we pulled the boys away after an hour or so and brought them home...
I am excited that after volunteering today I'm heading downtown to meet a friend for lunch! It's always nice to be able to catch up and it'll be fun eating lunch without my favorite two year old mooch too! It's always nice when Wayne can take a full day off on Friday ... although the downside this week is that he has to put in a full day on Saturday... oh well, it's not as if the boys will let us sleep in on a weekend anyway...
Happy Birthday to my brother, Mark! Wish I could be there for your birthday, but there is absolutely no way I'm leaving the balmy south for Deep Freeze Toronto... are you crazy? Instead, I'll just shamelessly plug his new book:
and his website/blog - www.markloeffler.com. Also if you are in Southern Ontario and looking for a Realtor, Mark is your guy... okay enough of a plug for the birthday boy...
I have been making yummy crisps for the past several months... I have had great plans to take pics and share the recipe on mmmMonday but it hasn't seemed to happen... at least the Crisps keep getting eaten so I can make more while I procrastinate about blogging about it... maybe this weekend...
and now I'll interrupt my frags for a brief Fill In fun segment brought to you by Hilary at Feeling Beachie:
1. My theighs are my least favorite feature
2. I was very bossy as a child
3. The first room I clean in my house is the kitchen because it gets messiest fastest...
4. If I had the guts to go back to school then I could learn something fun... actually it's not guts I'm lacking it's time...
Back to fragging...
We've been invited to 7 Easter Egg Hunts... if we take the kids to even some of them does that mean that the Easter Bunny will skip our house?
I don't usually post funnies from Facebook on my blog but this one was just too dead on:
I am in need of more victims interviewees for my Saturday blogger interviews... your blog doesn't have to be big, can be any genre ... as long as you're willing to answer the not so tough questions I pose... please email me at heather@actingbalanced.com if you are interested!
Well I'm off to bed so I'll say good night and happy Friday!
