This post brought to you by LEGO. All opinions are 100% mine.
Both Erik and Liam have really gotten into LEGO in the past few months - Liam is hooked on LEGO City and Erik is finally starting to build more intricate structures with his DUPLO! They've also gotten hooked on the LEGO series now available on Netflix. LEGO is featuring strongly on their Christmas Wish Lists too (and since neither of them read my blog, I can share that Aunt Catherine is indulging them...)
Today, Erik and I were playing around on the computer and found out that we could create our own LEGO Minifigure Family! It was great that we could personalize everything from skin tone and hair to each family member's facial expression and clothing!
In just a few minutes we were debating between hair styles and figuring out who should smile and who should wear what clothing and within five minutes, we had created this fabulous holiday greeting card to share with our family and friends:
As I said, creating the card was simple - In the first step, we added each family member and went to town customizing ourselves! I loved that there were so many options for the adult figures - I was a little disappointed with the options for the child figures - there was no face with glasses and there was no really 'girly' face option. Erik had a bit of a challenge deciding whether he'd rather have hair or a hat, but I think he did great!
In the second phase, we got to choose from eleven phrases that ranged from Happy Thanksgiving to Happy New Year and incorporated holidays in between. I kind of wish that there was a type your own option because I think it would just make our LEGO Minifigure Family that much more special. We also got to change the backgroud to one of a dozen choices - everything from Autumn Leaves to Frosty the Snowman and of course we had to choose the very beachy holiday setting for our scene!
Sharing our card was easy! I downloaded the picture and was also able to share it directly with my family and friends on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I could also have emailed it or just saved a direct link URL for the future!
If you're family is into LEGO, then you really need to head over and create your own LEGO Minifigure Family - it's so easy to do and so much fun to share!
